Overview
You can set up Google Tag Manager and integrate this with your Toggle web shop, allowing you to easily add trackers such as Facebook Pixel, Hotjar, your own custom HTML or many other things. Google’s Tag Manager is a really powerful marketing tool, where you can manage all your tags in a single place, for no extra charge.
Getting started
To get started, visit the Google Tag Manager website to create your account and configure your tags.
To learn how to use Tag Manager, visit Google’s support website: https://support.google.com/tagmanager/answer/6102821?hl=en
When you have finished setting up your Tag Manager account, you will be ready to integrate it with Toggle.
To do this, simply copy your Google Tag Manager ‘Container ID’ from the Tag Manager, and paste this into Toggle.
Visit the Settings > General page in your Toggle dashboard.
Click the blue edit button and enter the ID from Google Tag Manager into the ‘Google tag manager Container ID” field. Click Save at the top of the screen to save your settings.
Your tracking code will now load on your Toggle web shop, you don’t need to do anything else!
What URLs are on the Toggle shop?
If you want to place tracking on the different URLs found on your Toggle shop, here are the URLs:
On the Toggle shop homepage
Check balance page - [yourtoggleshopurl] /balance
Register card page - [yourtoggleshopurl] /register
On the Toggle shop checkout
Basket page - [yourtoggleshopurl] /basket
Delivery page - [yourtoggleshopurl] /delivery
Payment page - [yourtoggleshopurl] /payment
Order confirmed page - [yourtoggleshopurl] /order-received
On Toggle's demo shop, The Joiner's Kitchen, those URLs look like this (so you can see more clearly how yours will also look with your own shop's URL) -
shop.joinerskitchen.co.uk/balance
shop.joinerskitchen.co.uk/register
shop.joinerskitchen.co.uk/basket
shop.joinerskitchen.co.uk/delivery
shop.joinerskitchen.co.uk/payment
shop.joinerskitchen.co.uk/order-received
Note on the payment page
To be PCI compliant, Toggle removed GTM / Meta from running on the the payment page ([yourtoggleshopurl] /payment) for all accounts after June 10th 2026.
That compliance was to avoid any possibility for hackers to steal bank card details using third-party scripts like GTM. See our PCI documentation here for more details: Toggle PCI DSS Attestation of Compliance (AoC)
Note on Meta Pixel tracking
There is no "purchase" event for Meta Pixel tracking. Please refer to their guide about this here: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/402791146561655?id=1205376682832142
