If you want to implement a cookie banner on your web shop, here's how to do it using Google Tag Manager.

Pre-requisites

How to set-up CookieBot

1 - Set your Toggle web shop domain in CookieBot

2 - Grab your CookieBot Domain Group ID from the "Your Scripts" tab

3 - Head over into Google Tag Manager. CookieBot have a full article on what to do next over on their site however, read on for a summation of the steps.

4 - Within Tag Manager click to add a New Tag and location the CookieBot template under the Community Templates section like this:

5 - Paste in your CookieBot Domain Group ID in the field

6 - Under the Triggering section (shown in the short video above), set the trigger as "Consent initialization - All pages"

7 - Give the Tag a name and click Save

8 - Publish your changes using the Submit > Publish button in Tag Manager

You can customise the look and feel of your banner within CookieBot. However, the default "skin" will look like this:

Q) I don't use CookieBot. Can I use another Consent Management Platform (CMP)?
