Providing you have setup the Woocommerce integration (see How to setup WooCommerce)

Applying Gift card

Once items are added to the basket and the customer is on the checkout screen, they will see an option to Apply gift card.

Once a gift card is added, it will validate the card against Toggle then apply the maximum amount to the order.

Note the maximum amount will either be the Maximum value available on card, or the

Adjusting gift card applied

Once a gift card has been applied, it can be adjusted in the Summary

Select Edit and add the gift amount you want. A balance check is performed at the point of the amount being edited, so if the amount applied is greater than the amount on the card, it will adjust to the maximum that can be applied.

Removing a gift card

There are 2 ways a gift card can be removed from a basket, either;

  • Selecting the Remove link next to the Enter Gift Card textbox

  • Selecting the Remove link next to the Gift Card item in the summary

No funds on cards

An error will be displayed to the user if no funds are available on the card.

Invalid card

An error will be displayed to the user if the card number is not recognised.

Tender vs. Discount

This integration also supports Tender vs. Discount splits on cards, meaning that if a card is loaded with any Discount - it will be applied to the basket as a 'Discount' also (meaning the customer doesn't pay Tax on that proportion).

An example being the customer purchases a £100 item (exclusive of 20% tax), and uses a gift card with £5 on it.

If the card has £5 Discount on, this will reduce the item to £95 and tax will be applicable to the £95 (Tax will be £19) - Making the total remaining for the customer to pay total £114

If the card has £5 Tender on, this will act as a £5 payment towards the item, but tax will still be applied on the £100 (Tax will be £20) - Making the total remaining for the customer to pay £115
