All about Toggle Multi-Brand

How you set up your Toggle account(s) depends really on your company structure and how you want your gift cards to be redeemed. You have a few options that we'll go through so you understand what they mean.

To hopefully make this easier to understand and visualize for your own business, I've created diagrams (on MS Paint πŸ˜…) and will use a made up business called "The Joiner's Group" which contains three brands:

The Joiner's Kitchen

The Joiner's Pub

The Joiner's Hotel


Option 1:

Create a separate Toggle account for each brand

Separate branded accounts mean gift cards purchased from that account can only be redeemed at that specific brand. The advantage of creating separate accounts is that you can customise the online shop to that specific brand's colours, logo, wording, etc.

If this structure suits you, here's how to set this up:

  1. Click the sign up button on our website (www.usetoggle.com) to create an account*

  2. On the "Brand / Company name" field, put your brand name here

  3. After signing up that account, repeat step 1 for your other brand (if needed)

*Just note you can only sign up one Toggle account with the same email address


Option 2:

Create one 'group-level' Toggle account that contains all your brands

If you'd like to have your gift cards redeemable across all brands, then you can create one Toggle account and have each brand listed as a "site" on Settings page

If this structure suits you, here's how to set this up:

  1. Click the sign up button on our website (www.usetoggle.com) to create an account*

  2. Fill out the details and put your company name in the "Brand / Company name" field

  3. Once signed up, add each brand as a "site" on the Settings > Site Settings page

*Just note you can only sign up one Toggle account with the same email address


Option 3:

Create a 'group-level' Toggle account AND separate branded accounts

If you like the idea of having separately branded Toggle accounts, but also want to have some gift cards redeemable across all the brands, this might be a good option for you. A real-life example where this might be useful is if you wanted to create a physical gift card that can be purchased from the group-level account that's redeemable across all brands, perhaps for influencers or for staff members.

Like with option 1, gift cards purchased on a branded account CAN'T be cross-redeemed at other branded sites. But, any gift card purchased from a 'group-level' account CAN be redeemed at any of the branded sites.

If this structure suits you, here's how to set this up:

  1. Click the sign up button on our website (www.usetoggle.com) to create an account*

  2. Fill out the details and put your company name in the "Brand / Company name" field

  3. After signing up that account, repeat step 1 for your brand account(s)

*Just note you can only sign up one Toggle account with the same email address

Also, if you have Toggle accounts / sites in different countries with different currencies being used, then we don't recommend this option as we don't support currency conversion on Toggle.
