Note: Only Store Owner users can create the API on Step 2.
Step 1: Add your site(s) on Toggle
The sites you'll be redeeming gift cards at need adding to Toggle. This step might already be done, but it's worth checking.
Log in to Toggle
On the sidebar click Settings > Site Settings and click Add site
Add the site name, its address, and any number or reference for it
Click the green Add button to save the site
Repeat this step for however many sites you need to add.
If needed here's more info on how to add sites (video included).

Step 2: Create an API on Toggle (and get Account ID)
If needed here's more info on how to create the API (video included).
Log in to Toggle
On the sidebar click Settings > Integrations > PointOne
Click create new user
Copy the API username and then copy the password to this spreadsheet
Once copied across press Create to save the API*
โ ๏ธ *Once you click create you can't retrieve the API password again. If you accidentally created the API without noting it down the password just re-start the above steps to make a new one.
๐ง You only need one API for your Toggle account that can be used at all your sites that use PointOne.
Example below of creating the API username and password:
Account ID
You'll need your Toggle Account ID along with the API. You can add this to the same spreadsheet, to keep all the information in one place.
Your Account ID is found on the account details section of your dashboard sidebar.
Example below:
After you have completed these steps your spreadsheet will look a bit like this -
โ
The information highlighted in blue is there in case you need it for this set up. The parts highlighted in green is where you add your own API and Account ID to.
Step 3: Configure your sites in Toggle
PointOne and Toggle will need to ensure the site references are matched up between each system (this allows us to identify how many cards were sold / redeemed per location). To do this;
Log in to Toggle
On the sidebar click Settings > Integrations > PointOne
Add unique site references for each location
Save changes
You can use numbers, words or a combination of both - so long as what you set the reference as for each site on Toggle matches to what's on PointOne.
Example below of adding made-up site references for each site on Toggle:
Step 4: Configure your API and site details in PointOne
On the Open Orders page on the POS
Click System Management > System Settings > Terminals tab > Toggle
This will open up an interface to configure the Toggle details.
Toggle Account ID, Toggle API Username and API Password (as created in Step 2)
Site Reference (as created in Step 3)
Validate Card Number - This validates the card number is a Toggle gift card (based on length, and prefix). If you have cards in the public that weren't generated by Toggle (i.e. you issued cards previously via another supplier, and moved them over to Toggle) - this should be disabled. Otherwise, if all cards were issued from Toggle, then this should be enabled
Toggle integration enabled - Should be enabled
These will need to be configured for each location.
Step 5: Test the integration works
Once you or your PointOne Account Manager have finished the configuration it's good to check Toggle gift vouchers work as expected.
We recommend you:
Send yourself a free of charge digital voucher
Use the voucher code on the till to see if it works (e.g. redeem/reverse, and check balance)
๐ง Other people on your team may benefit from seeing how gift vouchers works during this stage.
โIf an error is flagged on the till, get in touch with Toggle and PointOne so we can help troubleshoot it.
