How to create an Experience

Here's the steps to create an Experience voucher:

  1. Log in to your Toggle account

  2. From the sidebar, click on Shop > Products

  3. Click on 'Add'

  4. Select the 'Experience' option

  5. Fill in the details (see below for more details)

  6. Press Save

How to set up an Experience

Read on for more info about what each part means when creating your Experience.

Experience Name:

Choose a name for the experience. This will appear in the Toggle shop and on the customer's voucher.

Experience Description:

Displayed on the Toggle shop homepage.

Experience Long Description:

Shown on the product's main page in the Toggle shop.

Experience Value:

Set the purchase value for the experience in the Toggle shop.

Add Experience Sub-Category:

Click 'add experience sub-category' to offer additional purchase options, each with its own description and price.

Number Available:

Limit the number of vouchers available, useful for promotional campaigns. Leave blank if unlimited.

Type of Fulfilment Available:

Initially set to digital only. Physical gift cards require design and printing assistance. Experience vouchers are usually better as digital-only.

Product Status:

Set to 'active' to make the product accessible or 'inactive' to stop sales and hide the product.

Webshop Status:

Set to 'public' to display the product in the Toggle shop. Set to 'private' to hide it but allow access via direct URL. This option is available only if the Product Status is active.

Cards Should Become Active:

By default, cards activate immediately. Optionally, set a delayed activation of up to a week.

Valid After:

Select a future date for the card to become active. Ideal for promotions or venue openings.

Expire Card Balance:

Setting an expiry date is recommended to avoid long-term liabilities. A typical timeframe is 12 months. Check national regulations if outside the UK, such as a 5-year minimum in Ireland.

Send Reminder Email:

If an expiry date is set, you can schedule a reminder email to notify the customer to use their voucher before it expires, provided they still have a balance.
