Connect Qikserve with Toggle

Redeem Toggle gift cards and vouchers on your QikServe powered ordering and/or pay-at-table platform.

Toggle is integrated with QikServe to allow for redemption of gift cards on your ordering and/or pay-at-table service.

It's easy to get set-up and works seamlessly with Toggle gift cards.

Getting started

ℹ️ Only Store Owner users can create the API on Step 2.

Step 1: Add your site(s) on Toggle

The sites where you'll be redeeming gift cards need to be added to Toggle before the integration can work. This step might already be done, but it's worth checking.

  • Log in to Toggle

  • On the sidebar click Settings > Site Settings and click Add site

  • Add the site name, its address, and any number or reference for it

  • Click the green Add button to save the site

Repeat for however many sites you need to add.

Step 2: Create an API on Toggle

QikServe needs an API username and password from Toggle to connect to your account. You can create this yourself directly from your Toggle dashboard.

  • Log in to Toggle

  • On the sidebar click Settings > Integrations > QikServe

  • Click Create new user

  • Copy the username and password and save them somewhere secure

  • Click Create to save the API

⚠️ Once you click Create you won't be able to retrieve the password again. If you lose it, just repeat the steps above to generate a new one.

🧠 You only need one API for your Toggle account. It can be used across all your sites that use QikServe.

Step 3: Send the API to QikServe and ask for your store IDs

Pass the API username and password to your QikServe contact so they can complete the configuration on their side. Ask them for your QikServe store IDs at this stage too, you'll need these for Step 4.

🔐 For security, avoid sending your API credentials in plain text over email. Consider password protecting your file and sharing the password separately.

Step 4: Add your store IDs to Toggle

While QikServe configure their side, add the store IDs they send you to your Toggle account. This is what links each location so redemptions are recorded against the right site.

  • Log in to Toggle

  • On the sidebar click Settings > Integrations > QikServe

  • Paste each store ID into its respective site

  • Save

⚠️ The store IDs are what allow Toggle and QikServe to know where a gift card was redeemed. Without them the integration won't work correctly. If you add new sites in the future, remember to come back and add their store IDs here too.

Step 5: Test the integration

Once QikServe confirms the setup is complete on their side, test that everything works before going live.

🧠 If an error appears during testing, get in touch with both Toggle and QikServe so the issue can be investigated on both sides.

How it works

Once connected, guests will see an option to pay fully or partially with a Toggle gift card during checkout. Here's the flow from their perspective:

🪑 Guest enters their table number and proceeds to payment

This works the same as a standard pay-at-table flow.

🎁 Guest taps "Use gift card"

The option appears during the payment step.

🔢 Guest enters their gift card number

They'll also be asked for an email address — this is used to send a payment receipt.

💳 Balance is shown with payment options

The guest can choose to use the full card balance (default) or enter a custom amount.

✅ Remaining balance and receipt are confirmed

The remaining amount to pay is displayed.

A guest will also receive an email with their receipt for their gift card payment.

FAQs

Can a guest part-pay with a gift card and pay the rest with a credit/debit card?

Yes, guests can apply their gift card balance and settle any remaining amount with a card.

If a bill is split, can each person use a gift card to pay?

Yes, each guest can use their own gift card independently.

Can more than one gift card be used on a bill?

Yes, multiple gift cards can be applied to the same bill.

Can I use QikServe with my EPOS?

Yes, take a look at the EPOS integrations that QikServe support over on their website >.

How will discounted gift cards be handled and reported on via EPOS?

Discounted gift cards may work slightly differently between each POS that QikServe is connected to. Please speak to your QikServe contact for further details.
