If you use storekit to take orders, you can connect it with Toggle so your customers can redeem their gift cards at checkout. The setup is quick and you can generate the API credentials yourself directly from your Toggle dashboard.
Getting connected
ℹ️ Only Store Owner users can create the API on Step 2.
Step 1: Add your site(s) on Toggle
The sites where you'll be redeeming gift cards need to be added to Toggle before the integration can work. This step might already be done, but it's worth checking.
Log in to Toggle
On the sidebar click Settings > Site Settings and click Add site
Add the site name, its address, and any number or reference for it
Click the green Add button to save the site
Repeat for however many sites you need to add.

Step 2: Create an API on Toggle
storekit needs an API username and password from Toggle to connect to your account. You can create this yourself directly from your Toggle dashboard.
Log in to Toggle
On the sidebar click Settings > Integrations > storekit
Click Create new user
Copy the username and password and save them somewhere secure
Click Create to save the API
🧠 You only need one API for your Toggle account. It can be used across all your sites that use storekit.
Step 3: Create an EPOS references
In order to track the redemptions by venue, we need the epos references mapped within both storekit and Toggle. Once the sites are all created (Step 1) - Log in to Toggle
On the sidebar click Settings > Integrations > storekit
A list of sites will be displayed
For each location, add a unique reference and make note of them
Click Save
🧠 EPOS references just need to match between both platforms, the naming convention for these doesn't really matter. We'd suggest not starting at '1' and incrementing, to avoid conflicts with any other integrations.
Step 4: Setup the following details in storekit
The setup within storekit is self service, so you should be able to put the details straight into the portal (storekits toggle guide).
This is configured by site in Storekit, so you will need to add the relevant unit epos reference as you configure each site.

Once the storekit setup is complete, test that everything works before going live.

🧠 If an error appears during testing, get in touch with both Toggle and storekit so the issue can be investigated on both sides.
How guests redeem on storekit
To redeem a gift card, your customers will be presented an option to add a Gift Card when making payment.
Once added, the user will be asked to confirm the amount to apply (Note, they will be unable to apply more than is on the gift card, or more than the basket value)
Voiding in storekit
Within storekit, if an order is refunded that has had a gift card used as payment - the balance on the gift card will automatically be refunded to its original state.
Tender vs Discount
Tender / discount payments are not currently supported with the storekit integration.

✅ All redemptions made through Storekit will appear in your Toggle Balance Adjustments report and against the individual card in your dashboard.
