How to remove a product from your shop

The best way to remove a product from your shop is to mark it as inactive. This is done on your Toggle dashboard.

Here's the steps to mark a product as Inactive.

  1. Log in to your Toggle account

  2. From the sidebar, click on Shop > Products

  3. Click on product you want to remove

  4. Tick "Inactive" where it says Product Status

  5. Press Save

What happens after marking a product as Inactive?

On your dashboard it'll stay listed on your Shop > Products page and it'll be marked as Inactive.

If you want the product to become active again, follow the instructions above but click 'Active' instead.

On your shop, the product will be removed and the URL for it will also be inaccessible - so anyone who tries to access the product using the direct URL won't be able to.

Can I delete my product instead?

Another way to remove a product from your shop is to delete it. This is done by locating the product on your dashboard (Shop > Products) then scroll to the bottom of the page and clicking the red "Delete Product" button.

If you delete your product, it won't be accessible again on your Shop > Products page if you did ever want to get it back again. (But, the Toggle developers can reinstate it to your account if you ask us).

Deleting a product won't cause any issues for your guests - if it's a gift card product that was deleted, the gift card can still be redeemed as normal. Any sales associated with the product that's deleted will still show up on the reports and purchases sections of your dashboard.
