How to redeem gift cards on POS Mode

Summary

  1. Go to pos.mytoggle.io/login on your laptop / tablet device

  2. Log in using your email and password

  3. Select the site you're at

  4. Click the tab in the top left of the page and click Home

  5. Click Redeem a card and select the details needed

Note: "Front of House Staff" users do not have access to selling gift cards on POS Mode. More info here on user roles.

How to redeem a gift card

1 - Getting started...

Firstly, log in to POS Mode and if needed select your site (more info on that part here) and then click on the tab in the top left corner and click Home.

Then click on the Redeem a card option.


2 - Redeem a card

After you've clicked Redeem a card you will see a screen where you need to:

  • Enter the gift card's unique code

  • Or, alternatively scan the gift card using the camera function

Once you have entered or scanned the gift card unique code, click the right arrow button to go to the next screen.

Side note: "Card not found"

If you get this error message this will likely be for one of these reasons:

  • The card number has been entered with dashes or spaces

  • The card number has been entered incorrectly

  • The card number doesn't exist on your Toggle account

  • The gift card has been cancelled on your Toggle account

3 - Select how much to redeem

Now you will be see a screen where you can enter the redemption amount - key in the balance you want to take off the gift card.

Alternatively, you can click the "Or redeem full amount" button and this will pull through the total card balance automatically to save a bit of time, if the full balance is being used.

At the bottom of the screen it shows you the name of the gift card and the current balance, for your reference.

When you have entered the amount to redeem, click the right arrow button to go to the next screen.


4 - Confirm redemption

On this next screen you will see the redemption details before it's confirmed.

Here you will see the current card balance, the redemption amount, and the new card balance. If this looks correct, tap the Confirm redemption button.

If this is wrong, click the left arrow button to go back to the previous screen and make changes.


5 - Success! 🥳

The next screen confirms the redemption has been done.

If you were redeeming a physical gift card and there's balance still remaining on it, remember to hand it back to the customer. If it's a physical gift card that's now had its full balance redeemed you could discard it.

To finalise the transaction you will need to reduce the bill on your still system.

Tap Finish to return to the home screen.
