How do I get cross-redemption set up for my Toggle accounts?
Cross-redemption is something the Toggle team can switch on for your accounts on the back-end of the Toggle system.

What is cross-redemption?
Cross-redemption means a customer can redeem their gift card at other sites listed on different Toggle accounts.
One Toggle accounts allows you to create one Toggle shop to sell from.
What are the common ways Toggle accounts are set up?
If you have one brand...
In most use-cases, when a client signs up to Toggle they will create one account for their brand.
On that one account they will list all their sites under Settings > Site Settings and set up the API for Integrating your tills (on Settings > Integrations).
You'd then set up one Toggle shop from that one account you have (it's not possible to set up more than one online shop from an account) to list your digital and/or physical gift cards to sell, and customers who buy from that shop can redeem them at any of the listed sites.
Example: if you own a restaurant brand called "The Joiner's Kitchen" and you have 10 restaurants under that brand, you will probably be happy to have one Toggle account with all 10 sites listed under that same account, rather than create separate Toggle accounts for each site.
Example of "The Joiner's Kitchen" shop - customers who buy a gift card from that shop can only redeem in the sites listed on that account (see picture above).
If you have more than one brand...
However, if you have other brands you want to sign up to Toggle, you might want to keep the brands separate on their own Toggle accounts with their own separate branded Toggle shops.
Example: let's say "The Joiner's Kitchen" also has another brand called "The Joiner's Hotel". Perhaps you would rather have a separate Toggle shop for the Hotel brand so you can list gift cards relevant to that brand. But, you also want your customers to have the choice to buy a gift card from the Hotel branded-Toggle shop and spend it in the restaurant (and visa versa).
If this option sounds good, then you would need to create another Toggle account The Joiner's Hotel.
After that, like with the other account, you would:
Set up the sites for the Hotel brand has on that account (on Settings > Site Settings) and set up the API connections as normal
The Toggle team will then link up both accounts on the back-end of the system so that gift cards purchased in either Toggle shop can be redeemed at any sites listed under each account.
Example of the Toggle shop for "The Joiner's Hotel" - if cross-redemption was switched on for this account and the Joiner's Kitchen, it means a customer who buys from this shop can redeem the gift card at a site listed on The Joiner's Kitchen (and visa versa).
How many accounts can we connect together for cross-redemption?
We can connect as many as needed! 🙂
Can I create a 'master' or 'head office' Toggle account?
Yes - another thing you could do is to set up multiple Toggle accounts, such as "The Joiner's Kitchen" and "The Joiner's Hotel" like demonstrated above, but not connect them for cross-redemption, meaning gift cards purchased in each account are contained to that account only.
Instead, you might want to create a different account that's linked up to the other two accounts for cross-redemption, so a gift card purchased from there can be redeemed at any sites listed within those accounts.
A good use-case for this is having a staff gift card you issue out from this 'master' account and they can spend it wherever they like.
