The process for registering a gift card:

When a guest receives a digital or physical gift card, they'll have a prompt to register their gift card if they want to. (On digital vouchers we have built-in wording on how to do this within the email, and on physical gift card we advise on adding the Register Card url to the back of the card).

To start, the guest visits your Toggle shop and clicks on "Register card" found near the top right of the page.

On the next page they will see this screen where they enter their gift card details - gift code and pin number - and enter their own details and are asked about opting in for marketing consent.

When they submit their details they'll see the next screen confirming the details of their gift card.

And they'll get the digital copy of their gift card sent to them to their email address.

Nope! It's entirely optional.

Your Toggle shop has a register card page built into it with a standardized form your guests fill out to get a digital copy of their gift card.

What's the benefit of registering a gift card?

For the guest:

  • If they lose their original gift card, they can use the digital copy instead

  • If they have Apple/Google Wallet they can add their gift card to it on the digital copy

  • If they'd prefer to just use a digital copy instead of carrying a physical gift card

For you:

  • If a guest loses their gift card, they hopefully won't need to contact you about it!

  • The guest might opt-in for marketing consent which is on the register page

  • Guests are directed to your shop, so they will see what you have to offer

How do I know who's registered their gift card?

You can download the Emails report from the Toggle dashboard. Any cards registered to a recipient will be shown against each card along with opt-in information.
