Getting started
Go to Customise > Receipt email to see and edit the copy for this email.
Before adding your content, why not click the Preview Email button to get a feel for the emailโs structure.
What each section means...
Subject line
The default is "Your gift receipt", which is wonderful but if you want you can change this to something different - just keep it under 50 characters and avoid spammy phrasing.
โจ Can I use emojis? You can! ๐ But use them wisely, as some email providers may not display them correctly.
This is how the subject line will look for the customer when it lands in their inbox:
Reply To address
The default is "no-reply@mytoggle.io", but we recommend using your own customer support email to handle voucher inquiries directly.
Emails sent to the no-reply address will be lost, so ensure your team is prepared to assist customers.
Some businesses create a dedicated inbox (e.g. giftcards@brandname.co.uk), but you can also use an existing email like info@yourbrand.co.uk.
This is the email customers will see when replying.
This is how the reply-to email will look for the customer:
Receipt text
By default, this reads: "Hey! Thanks so much for your purchase. Here's your receipt. See you soon!". If you think that's OK you can leave it as it is - or change the wording if you prefer something different.
Bear in mind that this gift receipt email is sent to every customer who purchases a product on your Toggle shop - whether that's a gift card, experience, ticket, or retail item. So keep the wording generic.
Example:
Custom footer text
Add a personalised footer. If left blank, your account details will be displayed instead.
Previewing and testing
Now your receipt email has been set up, click the Preview email button to see how it looks. This preview primarily shows how the text you've added will look.
To see how the email will look when it lands in the inbox, we recommend you either buy a gift card on your Toggle shop or send yourself a free voucher from your dashboard, and then check out the receipt when it lands in your inbox.
