Getting started

Go to Customise > Gift emails to see and edit the copy for this email.

Before adding your content, why not click the Preview Email button to get a feel for the emailโ€™s structure.

What each section means...

Subject line

The default is "Here's your gift", but you can customise it to match your brand - just keep it under 50 characters and avoid spammy phrasing.

Examples:

  • "You've got a gift!"

  • "A special digital gift for you!"

  • "Your [Brand Name] gift voucher is here!"

โœจ Can I use emojis? You can! ๐ŸŽ‰ But use them wisely, as some email providers may not display them correctly.

This is how the subject line will look for the customer when it lands in their inbox:

Reply To address

The default is "no-reply@mytoggle.io", but we recommend using your own customer support email to handle voucher inquiries directly.

Emails sent to the no-reply address will be lost, so ensure your team is prepared to assist customers.

Some businesses create a dedicated inbox (e.g. giftcards@brandname.co.uk), but you can also use an existing email like info@yourbrand.co.uk.

This is the email customers will see when replying.

This is how the reply-to email will look for the customer:

Instructions

By default, this reads: "To redeem this code, simply show it at the till." Keep this if it applies, or customise it based on your setup.

Consider how guests redeem vouchers - whether at a till, with a server, at a kiosk, or online. If integrated with Shopify or another platform, clarify the process.

Example:

Company Description

Introduce your brand to voucher recipients who may be new to you. Share a brief overview to give them a sense of what you offer.

Additional Text

Include any extra details that might be helpful. This text appears above the call-to-action button.

Custom Footer Text

Add a personalised footer. If left blank, your account details will be displayed instead.

Call to Action (CTA)

Enable or disable the CTA button. If enabled, customize its name and destination -typically linking to your booking page or menu to encourage visits and voucher use.

Previewing and testing

Now your gift email has been set up, click the Preview email button to see how it looks. This preview is primarily shows how the text you've added will look.

To see how the email will look when it lands in the inbox, we recommend you either buy a gift card on your Toggle shop or send yourself a free voucher from your dashboard.

This is how it can look:

Things that are also included on your gift email:

  • Register your card - this is included in all gift emails (it can't be removed). This link allows customers to register their gift card which gives them a duplicate copy of the voucher.

  • Add to Apple Wallet / Google Wallet - this will only show up on Toggle accounts that are using Stripe as their payment gateway.
